The Historic Sites department is taking part in a fun project sponsored by Secretary of State Robin Carnahan and the Missouri State Archives. It's called the Great Missouri Treasure Hunt. They're encouraging the public to dig through archives, libraries and their personal family collections for documents and photos. Anyone can post photos on The Great Missouri Treasure Hunt Flickr page. There's also a contest. Prizes will be awarded in three categories, Family History, Missouri History and Civil War Treasure.
